It should be just a matter of time before some image stabilizing software allows blur corrections or visa virsur...
Since it is a relatively simple task to record blurry and unsharp images of almost any event, when photography of fast moving events is contemplated one of the first questions that needs to be answered is whether a given subject will appear sharp and with adequate detail in the final photographs. The answer to this question plays an important role in subsequent decisions associated with the selection of photographic equipment and techniques to achieve the desired result.

We did get the attention of some passing cops; not surprising since this rig looks like a bizarre kind of rocket launcher.
Someone gets 'centre~mental' about a $80,000 hand made to special order lens...
(Way back when I was on the south coast doing some night photography and the police stopped me when they spotted my folded 'Slik' tripod I was carrying).. but this probably needs a special event just to move an inch!

We tested five Linux desktop solutions: Libra Computer Systems Ltd.'s Libranet 2.8.1 Flagship Edition, Lindows.com Inc.'s LindowsOS 4.5, Lycoris' Desktop/LX, MandrakeSoft Inc.'s Mandrake Linux 9.2 and Xandros Inc.'s Xandros Desktop OS Version 2-Deluxe Edition. None proved to be the clear front-runner. Rather, three of the solutions — the ones from Lindows.com, Lycoris and Xandros — proved evenly matched and ideally suited to replace either Windows or Macintosh systems with ease.
